The Livradois Forez Regional Nature Park is a low mountain range with vast green fields, ancient volcanoes, medieval castles, picturesque villages, and diverse forests.

The area is endlessly expansive and diverse in its rugged terrain, exceptional biodiversity, beauty, and elevation gain!

The roads are in good condition and a real challenge if cycling is your passion!

We offer several cycling tours to choose from during your stay.

The cycling tours are level 3, with distances of 35-60 km and elevation gain of 500-1000 meters.

The accommodation is located in the Haute Loire department, with the transition to the Puy de Dôme department just 3 kilometers away. Therefore, hikes are available in both departments.

La Fougeraie is an old castle farm next to the Château de Folgoux (1344) and is situated in a wooded area near the village of La Chaise Dieu at an altitude of 950 meters. The castle boasts a vast estate with expansive forests and meadows.

The French-international atmosphere is evident in the decor and in our cuisine. Enjoy the sun and a drink in the guest garden or by the pool. And for cozy evenings, there's a large lounge overlooking the castle gardens.

You can stay in the Afrique room, furnished in African style with a king-size bed, or in the charming Andaluza Suite, which features an additional lounge, kitchenette, and private garden.
